Aahh … it’s April. The weather is getting warmer … well, I think it is – my house is very cold since the heat is turned off for the season. Apparently that builds character or so I’m told. And while I’m happy that Spring is here/coming April is not one of my favorite months. I’m not sure why but November and April are the saddest times of the year for me – maybe it has something to do with the change from one season to another. It also rains an awful lot in April. I don’t mind rain but since I walk everywhere and half the time I’m with a 6 year old, it can get a little annoying. Anyway, on to the links …
Smiley Bug: Comment Moderation Problem in WordPress 2.7
Since upgrading to WordPress 2.7, I’ve had an annoying issue with comment moderation. It wasn’t a showstopping problem and I was able to work around it but when I did my personal WordPress spring cleaning last weekend, I decided to find a solution to the problem.
So, what was the problem? Well, comments were going into moderation that shouldn’t have been based on my Discussion settings.
Help Me Select a WordPress Theme for Celebrity Blogging
Recently I’ve been thinking that not enough attention is given to the entertainment industry and celebrity culture. I’m considering leaving WordPress and starting a celebrity and gossip blog.
I just haven’t been able to decide what to focus on.

(Anti) Social WordPress Spring Cleaning
Two weeks I encouraged you to spring clean WordPress by making backups, upgrading, removing unused plugins and more. I have finally decided to take my own advice and have done some (Anti) Social Spring Cleaning.
I hate to admit it but I often give advice before I actually follow it myself. But there, I’ve admitted it. Between writing articles and working on other’s sites, maintenance on my own site often falls to the bottom of my todo list.

Somehow it’s already the end of March – I’m not sure how that happened. The trees are budding and the daffodils are blooming. We get a lot of rain here in April but overall it’s a gorgeous month.
