Remember when every other site was on Geocities? And remember how ugly all of the sites were?
Now it’s possible to bring back the glory days (1998) and make your current site look like a Geocities one.
Here’s what this site looks like. Lovely.

My second installment of ugly WordPress themes.
I scour the internet for these so you don’t have to ;-) Actually and unfortunately, I really don’t have to search very hard for them. But hey, I save the links and take screenshots and give them to you in a nice tidy package. That counts for something, right?
It’s May – yay, April is over. I’m officially working for myself as a freelance WordPress consultant. I was so busy this week that I actually fell for a facebook phishing scam but somehow managed to find some great links (I also seem to know a lot of awesome people who post great stuff). This week is all over the place and there is hardly anything about WordPress.
I’ve been collecting all sorts of WordPress themes lately. I started this week with 5 New(ish) WordPress themes and am ending it with 5 Ugly WordPress Themes.
As a note of kindness, I’m sure that the theme authors were learning how to make themes and decided to try something different. For example, while the Retro Mac one is ugly, it probably wasn’t that easy to make.
And if I ever get around to making a theme, I’m sure someone will think it is ugly too. Actually, I have designed sites that I thought were ugly, but made what the client wanted. There’s no accounting for taste.
