It’s the last weekend in October and it’s the last installment of (Anti) Social-Lists for the month. This week there is some WordPress information (what a surprise, huh?), suggestions on reducing the amount of plastic that you use, more photos of poverty, cool photos of the Northern Lights, and a new feature in gmail.
Unmotivated, Unproductive, and a Ramble
This is C.C. (aka Captain Courageous). I’m using this photo because that is how I feel right now. I have no energy, I don’t feel like working and am unmotivated.
I’ve felt this way for a couple of days. I’m not sure why. Actually I’ve been out of sorts for about a week. Not exactly down but more irritable and annoyed.
I think, ironically enough, the start of it was Blog Action Day. I was excited about participating and in hopefully bringing more awareness to Train for Humanity. I also set aside time to read other posts about poverty. And a lot of what I read really disturbed me. It wasn’t the posts that disturbed me but rather the comments.
(Anti) Social-Lists 10/19/08
Wow, another week already. This week’s list has a number of articles written for Blog Action Day 08, Ari Herzog’s steps in moving from Blogger to WordPress, and Mark Hayward’s list of people to follow on Twitter (ok, ok I’m on his list).
Support Train for Humanity – Blog Action Day 08 – Poverty
I’ve been spending some time linking to articles by Train for Humanity and sending information about their endeavors through Twitter. There has been two reasons for this:
- -Mark Hayward is one of the nicest people I’ve met online.
- -Train for Humanity is using physical fitness and social media to bring raise money for Darfur Peace and Development
At first I didn’t know what to write about for Blog Action Day and then it hit me – duh! I said to myself, “Kim, you’ve been linking to Train for Humanity and sending tweets about them so why not take the time to write an entire post.”
