5 Articles about Twitter: My Greatest Hits
It seems that people are interested in freelancing or earning extra money and in twitter. Since I wrote a number of articles about twitter before anyone was visiting this site (and because I’m lazy), I’m re-posting what I consider to be my 5 best articles about Twitter.
They are on a variety of topics and aren’t exactly the how to get started with twitter types of articles but I think you will still find them useful.
How to Get Freelance Work with Twitter
I’ve frequently mentioned that I get most of my freelance work from Twitter. It’s not hard but it will take some time to build credibility and to be viewed as providing value. It doesn’t cost anything except for your time.
Keep in mind that this is geared toward locating WordPress work but it can be adapted for whatever you do; writing, coaching, SEO, etc.
Here’s how I do it.
WordPress How To: 5 Tips and Tricks
Yesterday I discussed support on the WordPress forums and discovered that most commenters have had a negative experience using them. I would like the WordPress forums to change but I’m just one person and I’m not even sure if WordPress wants them to change. It seems like something would have been done by now.
For today I have gathered 5 of my best WordPress howto articles for this post. Many of them were written before you were reading – or before really anyone was reading for that matter.
I’ve worked at making the search on my site more useful so you can always search on WordPress howto or WordPress tips to locate additional information.
How to Exclude a Category From the Sidebar List in WordPress
My portfolio page is created using posts and is not a static page like the About page. I did this to easily add and remove entries and so that the page didn’t become too large. It will display a set number of entries like any other blog post page.
The portfolio entries are in the category, portfolio. The code on the portfolio is set to only display that category.
I also use the Ultimate Category Excluder plugin so that the category does not display in my archives or in my rss feed. I’m hoping to spend some time on code based solution for that as well.
