I am currently working on a personal project to create a WordPress based collection of all the books I have read. While searching for resources I came across these great WordPress themes for selling books – some are geared toward an individual author’s books and others are for a full online store that could be used for a bookstore or publisher.
WordPress 3.5 is scheduled for release in December 2012. The 1st beta was released last week so we can test it out but I don’t recommend using it on any of your live sites.
In additional to the beta, WordPress also released the full version of the new Twenty Twelve theme that will also be released with WordPress 3.5. Twenty Twelve is compatible with the current version of WordPress 3.4.2 so you can download it and start using it now.

I haven’t done a WordPress theme collection post since the Spring. Recently, I received an email from Organic Themes about the release of Music, a theme for musicians. I really liked the theme and decided to look for WordPress themes for musicians and bands and list them all in one location.
This is what I found.
Pinterest has become super popular so I decided to look around for WordPress themes that look like Pinterest.
Many image based layouts that are designed for portfolios do look a lot like Pinterest.
So, if you love the Pinterest layout and want something similar for your own site, you might find something that you like below.
Many of these themes look quite a bit alike so I recommend viewing the demos and playing around with the features to determine which one will work the best for your needs.
