Facebook has been making a lot of changes recently and for once, most of them are positive – they are adding useful features rather than confusing us with interface redesigns.
One change, announced in May, is going to affect those of us who have custom Facebook pages built with iframes. Starting October 1, 2011, all Facebook applications are going to be required to have SSL certificates. Since a custom page is considered to be a Facebook app, pages will have to fulfill this requirement.
How quickly we can change our minds. Last Spring I left a comment on the article, Why I Refuse to Own a Smartphone, stating that I totally agreed, that I didn’t have one and that I didn’t want one.
Fast foward four months and now I have an LG Ally with Android on it. (no iPhone for me but that’s a another discussion for a different day – let’s just say I prefer open source to super proprietary. I even refuse to use iTunes.)

Last week when I wrote the article about removing a facebook application from your news stream, I wanted to re-add Mafia Wars, which I had previously removed. I wanted to add it back so I could go through the steps of removing it and take some screen shots.
Of course, as with many options in Facebook, wanting to re-add an application was easier than actually doing it because it was hard to find the setting. Facebook is not intuitive to use.
Last week I asked you about your least favorite part of blogging. Today I want to ask about where you do your blogging.
I do most of my work at my home computer, which is pictured above and below. I have a desk that is much too small so I can’t pile too much on it. Maybe that is a good thing. I didn’t clean it up for the photo but there is often much more stacked on the side of the monitor. There are shelves to the side so a lot of stuff gets put there. Although most of the things on the shelves are games and dvds that have nothing to do with blogging.
