Well, we’re moving forward into 2011.
This week I have No, FBML, WordPress, cats, Antoine, and more.

I don’t make New Years resolutions but sometimes I do like to look back on the previous year.
So, I decided to actually take a look at my stats in Google Analytics to find out what the 5 most visted articles were on my site in 2010. These are the top 5 articles by pageviews.
I was a little surprised by the results, except for the first one, and that all 5 articles are on the same topic.
My most popular article, by far, is How to Add a Custom Tab to a Facebook Fan Page. And one of the questions related to that article that I get asked the most frequently is, “how do I add content to the custom tab?”
The short answer is in order to add content to a custom tab created with FBML, you have to use HTML. If you don’t know any HTML, there isn’t much you can do with the tab.
Facebook has a livestream application in which live events can occur and viewers can comment on the even in real time. Each viewer’s comment gets posted to their wall with a link back to the event, which increased the visibility of the event.
Setting up a live event on Facebook, however, is more than most of us need to do and will incur some costs setting up the event through Vimeo and other Facebook partners. We can, however, still take advantage of the Livestream application and use it with static content. The viewers can still comment on the content in real time and their wall postings will increase the visibility of your video or other materials.
Here’s how to set up the Livestream application with your static content.
A couple of months ago I wrote an article about how to get people to like your fan page by offering content that is only available to fans. This uses the fbml visible-to-connection tag.
Inbound Zombie is using this code to offer an free ebook that is only available to those that like their Facebook page.
And the ebook is excellent!
