The kid is celebrating her 9th birthday in a couple of days.
It amazes me that she is already 9 – she’s not a little kid anymore. And where does the time go?
It seems like we went from a baby to almost double digits in a blink of an eye. Kids birthday party seem a lot more elaborate now than they did when we were growing up. Parents are renting out bounce houses and ponies, and they’re transforming their homes into fantasy worlds. But when it comes down to it, kids just want to have fun, and it’s not necessary for parents to go all out for kids to have a good birthday party. Escape puzzle rooms are a great way to celebrate, regardless of the occasion! Whether you’re young or old, you’ll have a blast solving our intricate puzzles and trying your luck with our escape rooms. PuzzleWorks will be by your side as you plan your party celebration for your friends, coworkers, or family members.
How did we go from this?
to this?
and now this?
Life is short and it passes by so quickly. It’s so important to appreciate as many moments as you can. This doesn’t mean, however, that I am looking forward to a bunch of kids coming over for a party ;-)

Hi Kim,
Congratulation, the years go by so fast, and all of a sudden are they going to graduate. I have two adult children today, 24 respectively. 32 years old. I take a lot of photos on them so I can remember their childhood. Have a great birthday celebration.

Thanks! She’s having a simple party with a couple of friends. Before I know it she will be pushing my wheelchair ;-)

Kim, I’ve known you about 4 years almost now and she sure is growing up quick. I enjoy the updates on how she has grown and her wit. :-) Enjoy these years, they go by too fast. Mine are 24 and 25 now.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Julie – Thanks! It seems like she was just a toddler with tons of energy and now she is so self-sufficient. I’m worry that in a couple of years she’s going to stop talking to me for awhile ;-)

Happy Birthday Alex. I hope you have a wonderful birthday and summer.

Alex says thanks! One of my goals for this summer is to teach her WordPress ;-) It may be a struggle – she likes to write but really isn’t that in to computers.
Vered says
Aw happy birthday! Scares me too how fast they grow.
Kim Woodbridge says
Thanks Vered :-)

My daughters are 13 and 16 – your photos and cake brought a tear to my eye – smiling of course! Yes, they grow so fast. Take tons of pictures and save them all! The kids are annoyed now but love them later.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Greg – It seems that the older she gets the fewer pictures I have ;-)
I wish I could take credit for that cake but it’s just a photo – I didn’t make it.

Happy Birthday – 9 year WOW
I was never big on birthday parties – giving or taking the kids to them, they just seemed to commercial. We tried to do special activities.
Nice pictures – love that purple stripe!

Hi Patricia – Her parties are more like a bunch of kids coming over to play. I let them run wild for an hour, take them for pizza and then have cake. No characters and no elaborate outings. And gifts are totally optional.
Thanks!

Kim,
Happy Birthday to the Kid!! I was just thinking the same thing about my twins today and they will be 2 in August. Where did my babies go? Not sure how I will be when they’re 9. Hope the party is a success :)
Kim Woodbridge says
Oh my! 2 year old twins ;-)

Kim,
Happy b’day to Alex. My elder son turned 9 a couple of weeks ago. I somehow got him to stop his b’day celebrations as the expectations were growing every year.
It’s amazing how kids grow (or rather we turn old lol).
My son somehow, has lost only two teeth till now. Need to take him to a dentist soon to check out why.
Btw, cute pics of the lil Alex.
Cheers,
Ajith

Hi Ajith – I always forget they are the same age :-) The celebrations are pretty simple but they still wear me out. The kids played for an hour, I took them out for pizza, and then we had a water balloon fight outside … it was fun.
Ugh … teeth. Alex hasn’t had any cavities yet but still has issues from sucking her fingers … I do not want to spend money on braces.
Thanks!
