Like with many things in life, you can get people to do things that you want them to by offering an incentive. Any parent knows how to use positive reinforcement with their children – “once you finish your homework, you can watch a show on television”.
And the same works when you want to get more fans on your Facebook page – offer the visitor a deal or some content that is only available to fans.
This can be done with an fbml tag called visible to connection.
And another week has already gone by. I can’t even keep tracking of them anymore. Is it 1989 or 2010? ;-)

By default, WordPress will display the selected gravatar in the image to the left, if the person leaving a comment doesn’t have a gravatar account. As you can see, I’ve selected the Identicon option – I think the look pretty ;-) I’m not really a fan of the Mystery Man though – I think it’s because I see it everywhere.
Here are 7 plugins that will allow for even more gravatar options. Some are really funny and some are useful if you use services like Twitter.
This time of year the end of the winter CSA isn’t too exciting. I’m getting a lot of carrots and potatoes and some apples.
We’ve had so many carrots that I needed to find a new use for them. We put them in salads, in any veggie/tofu stir fry I make, and I cut up one for the kid’s lunch each day. But, we still have so many carrots and we don’t have any bunnies ;-)
