May is flying by – it really is true that the older you get the faster time goes by. This week I have some information about WordPress, photos, plastic, a lake monster, cleaning and more. Enjoy!

- Custom Taxonomies in WordPress 2.8 – Well, obviously, WordPress 2.8 is not out yet but information about it is starting to be released. This article is about creating custom taxonomies or groups. Groupings can be created that are specific to your blog and used in a variety of ways. I’m starting to think about ways I could use this feature.
- – Public Computer Errors A flickr photo group of computer errors seen on public computers and things like ATM’s. Some of them are funny and others are quite embarrassing for the institutions that the computers belong to.
- – Awkward Family Photos A blog devoted to family and group portraits that are really quite awful and funny. My favorite is the twin guys wearing chaps.

- Memphre: The Sea Serpent of Lake Memphremagog – When I was in Vermont last weekend I went to a restaurant on the shore of Lake Memphremagog. While not as famous as Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, this lake also has a legendary sea serpent named Memphre. This is a glacial lake which is very deep and murky, which has contributed to the legend.
- How to Clean Stuff – Tips on how to clean a variety of hard to clean items. I don’t know if all of the tips are green but the site donates money to the Clean Water Fund for submitted cleaning tips.

Hi Jim – Even if that lake didn’t have a monster I don’t think I would swim
in it – it’s deep and murky and really kind of spooky. There’s other lakes in the area that I prefer.

One of my cats loves broccoli too! And the 9 things to make blogs smarter mentions the WP Greet Box plugin, which is one that I love. It comes with built in messages which greet people from Stumble asking for a Thumbs Up, Twitter asking for a Re-Tweet, and a standard message that covers other referrers (or people coming directly to the page) with a RSS subscribe request.

Hi Kristi – That’s weird. I wonder if there is something about broccoli that
is similar to catnip.
I’ve been been meaning to try the WP Greet Plugin but haven’t yet.
