For many of us Winter is starting to kick in. And for others there is already snow. We don’t get very much snow in Philadelphia and rarely before January.
I love snow though. Maybe it’s because I grew up in New Hampshire and used to ski. Or maybe it’s because I don’t drive and I don’t own property so I don’t have to deal with any of the work that snow involves.
So, for the upcoming Winter season and for my love of snow, I have 11 WordPress Winter Themes that feature snow.

Awesome themes. I like Winter Christmas and Winter Wonderland. :-)
I’ve always really liked snow too. I heard somewhere that this could be the most severe winter in the last 5 years in our area.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Jim – Where did you read that? So far, it’s been really mild. I don’t think it’s going to be much of a winter here.

Changing themes is such a chore, I can’t imagine doing it for every season, but thowe are some BEAUTIFUL winter themes. I like the second one and most of the others, too.

Hi Dot – I love snow :-) I can barely keep up with updating my theme so changing it frequently is never going to happen.

The first one is quite gorgeous.

Hi Vered – I like that one a lot too – it’s simple.

Many of them lightish blue :(
But you gave me an idea, it would be great idea to make a theme customizable based on the season :) Just like Google keeps changing their logo for events/important days etc. I think only the banner image and major title tag colors need customizing in this case…
(just a wild idea may be )

Hi Ajith – That’s not a bad idea – especially if all the headers were made in advance. Then they could just be switched out seasonally. And it would be a lot easier than changing the entire theme.

You Rock – as always – with rounding up and presenting us with a great list of Free Themes. I’m teaching a local class soon on WordPress and will be using your site as a hopping off point for the attendees to get their creative juices going with different free themes.
