How to See All the Ads Being Served to You on Facebook
If you are anything like me, you are annoyed by most ads that are presented to you on Facebook. Very rarely do I see on that I am interested in and it’s usually for a fan page.
Admittedly, I don’t like any advertising and is the probably why I don’t watch much television. During the Super Bowl so many people said that they were only watching the game for the ads and I kept thinking that ads were the last thing that I would want to see. Of course, advertising is so pervasive that it isn’t possible to be free from them.
WordPress 2.9.2 Released: Security Release for Trash
You may have noticed the WordPress update in your WordPress admin for version 2.9.2.
This is a security release but isn’t one to worry about unless you have multiple authors on your blog and particularly if anyone is allowed to register as an author.
And it can be an issue if you leave “sensitive” posts in the trash, which is a new feature of the WordPress 2.9 series.
Basically any logged in user can view posts left in the trash. Even posts that they didn’t write.
How to Receive Notifications for Comments on a Facebook Fan Page
Last week I posted an article on my facebook fan page about how ownership of a fan or business page can’t be transferred to another user (Facebook really needs to change this).
Someone commented on that post about what a problem this is and then asked me how to get notifications when someone posts to your fan page.
Right now there isn’t a way to get notifications on wall posts or comments on items I post but there is a workaround that helps a little.
