There are a lot of little settings that we don’t always pay much attention to in WordPress. We install it, get our theme going, figure out how to post and are then on our way until we need to do something like upgrade or have a problem with plugin compatibility.
And sometimes one of these little settings can make using WordPress and writing our posts a lot easier.
Facebook wants us to like things rather than fan or share them. I’m not, like, really liking, this change, like, you know? It makes me think of people who use like every three words they say and about passing notes in junior high. “Chris – do you think Billy likes me? Can you ask him? But don’t tell him I wanted to know.”
So, we can now add like buttons to our website. What’s cool about it is that it will show the little avatars of the people who liked your article and will post on their wall and newstream that they liked the article (if their settings allow for that).
I have quite a few new readers who are looking for useful information about Facebook that doesn’t take a PhD to understand. Since they have missed some of the earlier articles, and really who can keep up these days, I’ve decided to round-up my best Facebook articles.
There are some others that are quite good but Facebook decided to rename things and make random changes so often that I would need to write my posts in pencil in order to always be current. If you are interested in all of the articles, you can find them in the Facebook category.
Happy Post Earth Day and end of April. This week I have twitter, Facebook, bus stops, WordPress security and more.
Enjoy!
