Welcome to video game week here at (Anti) Social Development. Since I accidentally published this article a couple of days ago instead of saving the draft, you may have received a list of some of these links in your feed reader or email. Doh! I usually like to do my themes article on Wednesdays but decided to start the week with themes because of this error.
These themes mentioned below are often used on sites with the best slots to play online, don’t you know? Most gaming sites are now built in wordpress. Some of these themes are designed for videos rather than specifically for video games but I think a video game blog would include videos for walkthroughs and game demos.
And I don’t have video game blog but I do love to play video games like tangkasnet, well I like to bet and play poker online, I recommend to play Sbobet it’s about gambling online, it’s just not as much as. I love playing casinodames games. I just wish I had more (any) time for them. Check out Casino Gambling Diary.

Jim says
Awesome list!
I’m partial to the two Mario themes. Especially that old school one. :-)
eGamer is probably my favorite of the rest of them. CounterForce scares me. ;-)
Thanks Kim!
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Jim – I knew you would like Mario :-)
Ben Pei says
Oops should have read this first! Lol it really brings back the old school feeling.. Kinda miss it though

Gennaro says
I actually like Video-Game-Photo best. I can see that being a part of Web 2.0. I see Mario Brothers has a big showing. I’m not about to admit that my middle name is Luigi :)
Gennaro´s last blog post – First Western Tourists Visit Iraq
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Gennaro – I think you just admitted it ;-)
Danny Brown says
What I like about some of these themes is that, even though they’re designed with videogames in mind, you could probably tailor them to other topics.
Although why anyone would want to amend the Mario ones would be beyond me… ;-)
Danny Brown´s last blog post – Closing Down for Earth Hour
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Danny – Don’t mess with Mario ;-)
Some of these theme are designed for video rather than game sites but I thought they would work for this list.
Nicholas Francis says
Cool collection of themes kim, I really love the egamer theme.. its reall nice
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Nicholas – Thanks! Let me know if you try egamer.
Vered - MomGrind says
I don’t play video games. :) I do like “This Wicked Life” theme.
Vered – MomGrind´s last blog post – Stay At Home Mom? Protect Yourself Financially
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Vered – That one is set up as a video blog rather than specifically for video games.
stratosg says
well Kim i got the link on my reader and then i tried to visit and there was a 404. i was sure it was coming :) i would also like to add that e-gamer is not free but it’s an excellent plugin indeed. anyways i really like the theme of the week as you might have guessed :D
stratosg´s last blog post – TweepMe: Good or bad?
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Stratos – I couldn’t believe I hit publish. I’ve done it before but usually caught it immediately before it hit the RSS feed. This time it could have been 30-60 mins before I realized. I was doing too many things at the same time.
The theme of the week was partly inspired my our game conversations :-)
Ben Pei says
Lol Super Mario theme is cute! Reminds me of the good old school days.. Good for classic games huh..
Ben Pei´s last blog post – Ben Pei’s No Brainer Blog Contest
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Ben – Super Mario would be perfect for a classic gaming site. I like it a lot.
Dennis Edell says
Sweet! I’ll put this alongside the food themes when I write them up…very cool.

I bet I could get my hubby blogging with that Mario theme… that’s so cute! egamer looks like it could be adapted to fit any site though, and it’s a very good layout.

videos of game always were a success
Kim Woodbridge says
I was stuck in a game the other day and a video finally got me through that point – reading the walkthrough hadn’t helped me at all.
Madhur Kapoor says
Nice collection. I dont know how you manage to find all such themes. I only managed to find 2-3 themes when i was starting my gaming blog.
Madhur Kapoor´s last blog post – Record Desktop Activity with Screen2Exe
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Madhur – It wasn’t easy to find all of these – I thought there would be more themes out there. I think I need to make the ultimate one :-)
Sire says
I actually downloaded the egamer theme and was going to use it for a photo blog, but its sitting in the themes directory gathering dust because I went and bought a really cool theme that is pretty well complete plug and play. A hell of a lot better than the Thesis theme I bought awhile back.
Sire´s last blog post – Thesis Theme Is Just Not Flexible Enough
Kim Woodbridge says
I like the theme you are using now. :-) I like Thesis but mentioned on your site the issues that I have with it. You have to know CSS and hooks to make a unique looking theme out of it.
Sire says
Yep, that’s exactly why I didn’t like it. I reckon it’s fitting that I now use it on my Load Of BS blog :D I absolutely love my new theme. Just the other day I noticed that the color of the link wasn’t quite right, so I go into the dashboard and with a couple clicks of the mouse I’ve changed the color.

Hi Jeevan – Thanks! I hope you find one that you like.
Penny Gamer says
It’s too bad there aren’t more video game blog themes designed for game review sites. Really, the only good one I’ve found is GamesPress.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Penny – There really aren’t any themes specifically designed for review sites – some of the ones that revolve around videos might be the best to take a look at.
JIVE says
Nice! I’m working on setting up a video game review site and I might have to use one of these templates! Thanks.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi – Great! I’m glad the article helps :-)
eric rumble says
Another great gaming theme you might consider adding to your list is the GameNow Theme – http://www.wpnow.com/themes/gamenow.html
I recently purchased it for a client and its usability is great, even comes with a built in gaming review system. It could also be used for non-gaming sites as well which is nice.
Kim Woodbridge says
Hi Eric – Thanks for the info – it looks like a nice theme.
Jadeslair says
Thanks I am going to check out the egames theme.

While I know that this list is old, it still is a valid collection of gaming themes. I have used egamer for several sites and has been a favorite for some time. I will give some of the others a look.
Kim Woodbridge says
Egamer is still a great theme.
Wordpress Magazine Themes says
Is there some plugin for building an arcade site using WordPress? BTW These are all beautiful themes! Thanks for making this list!
Kim Woodbridge says
Have you looked at ArcadePress?
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/arcadepress/
The plugin can be downloaded but the developer’s site seems to be down.
Bill says
Have someone the Gamers Theme or an current download link ?
NyNy says
Good recommendation. I really like the egamer, Super Mario and Gamers Theme seem to be the best.
By the way, do you think this is a good list of games to recommend? http://nynyonlinex.wordpress.com/2012/09/09/games-id-recommend-to-play/ If not, comment and tell me what games you would recommend to play :)

I saw this list from a long time ago. I ended up making a website that has just this. It contains free themes and premium themes.

Wow.. Those designs are brilliant. Thanks for sharing Kim. My favorite is the first one, eGamer. That one looks so damn clean but elegant and dark. Awesome design. And suddenly i saw my old time favorite video game, Donkey Kong Country on your theme list. That is also awesome to try out and might gonna recommend to my brother if he ever plans to build a WordPress blog.
