Many simple blog hacks are done with a snippet of CSS code. To implement the tricks, it is not necessary to be a CSS expert but familiarity with the theme’s CSS file is helpful.
Yesterday’s article about framing images involved copying CSS code into your style sheet. I plan on posting more articles involving simple blog tricks that can be done with CSS.
The RSS feed of the week is CSS Newbie. CSS Newbie includes CSS how to articles for beginners to advanced users. I find it an invaluable resource and am often inspired to try some of the projects discussed in the articles.
So, if you want to follow along in my articles and are interested in customizing your blog theme, add CSS Newbie to your feed reader.

I need to learn so much or just hire you to keep my blog all neat and tidy, eh? So are you going to start doing this for a living? CSS and code is something I’m starting to learn but then it takes me from my business and content. Can’t do it all!

Hi Sommer!
I do want to earn a living dealing with the technical side of WordPress. I’m just getting started and am really excited about it.
It isn’t possible to do it all. Or then you really will never sleep :-)
We all have different talents and interests and are happiest doing what we love. Like you said, we can’t do it all.

Who needs sleep when you’re doing something you love?
By the way, your new picture is much better than the last one.

I don’t always love what I stay up to do. Last night I was working on my resume and that’s one task that I detest.
Thanks – I made my friend take photos of me until I got one that I liked. Of course, I just cut my hair yesterday so now I look different again.
Lee says
Well, in that case, perhaps you should update your photo again.
(You look way younger in the current pic)

Maybe I will – if my friend has the a patience to take a bazillion photos of me again :-)

Does it take that many shots to get a good one?!?
Kim Woodbridge says
Sometimes. I make goofy faces or start laughing. I’m usually the one taking photos.
Lee says
At least you don’t mind them being taken – I think there are only 3 or 4 of me in existence!!
