Here are 8 premium WordPress church themes.
None of them are free but none of them are that pricey either and they are great templates for your church related websites.
They are also flexible and customizable so they could be used for other types of non-profits and businesses too.

Thanks for sharing, Kim. My church recently redid their website and they asked for input but the person in charge still was thinking static even when I shared how much sites have changed. I ended up staying out of the mix and just recently set up the Facebook page. Unfortunately, without the direct connect that a blog creates to a static website, it still doesn’t impact the church website much.

Hi Julie,
That’s too bad – unless they are posting audio sermons or something like that a church website isn’t all that useful. I would probably only visit it to find out the phone number or the service times.
But, if they don’t have time to update a blog, it’s probably best to not have one.

That’s too bad :( I’m glad you’re trying to weight in, static websites are most certainly a thing of the past and will deter updating which deters returning visitors :)
I’m trying to create a full “out-of-the-box” experience for churches on WordPress. Making it easier to pull the switch from traditional static to fully dynamic, and not have to spend hours (or days) customizing a business theme to fit a church.

What do you think of something like this? I’d love your feedback on our ChurchThemes project!

I haven’t had a chance to really take a good look at the site yet but I think it’s a great idea.
